Connecting Office 365 to Contreli

Connecting your Office 365 to Contreli, and allowing us to extract and analyze your emails and calendar events requires four steps:

  1. Approve Contreli as an Enterprise Application in your Azure account (By the Azure Admin)
  2. Configure Contreli's Azure application (By the Azure Admin)
  3. Maintain a set of allowed users (By the app owner)
  4. Allow Contreli to connect to one's own mailbox and calendar (By each user). This will be covered in a different guide.


Approve Contreli as an Enterprise Application


First, please provide your contact at Contreli with your Azure tenant ID. To do so:


1. Log in to Azure portal

2. Click on "Azure Active Directory"

 


3. Extract the tenant ID


Please send that tenant ID to support-team@contreli.com


Shortly afterwards you will receive a link from Contreli that allows you to register Contreli as an enterprise application. When receiving that link:

1. Click on the link which will take you to Azure login screen

2. Review the permissions requested by Contreli (Note: At this point Contreli does not have any permissions. These are the permissions that Contreli will get from each connected user).


3. Click 'Accept' to recieve a success notification



Configure Contreli's Enterprise Application


This step will ensure that only allowed users can connect their mailbox to Contreli.


1. Log in to Azure portal

2. Click on "Enterprise Applications" in the menu

3. Search for "Contreli" and click on the record that comes up

4. Click on "Properties"

5. Ensure "Assignment Required" is set to "Yes"


6. Go back to the screen showing Contreli's app and click on 'Owners'

7. Add the person who will be responsible to add CSMs to Contreli (usually the Head of CS) 


Maintain a set of allowed users (By the app owner)


1. Log in to Azure portal


2. Click on "Enterprise Applications" in the menu


3. Search for "Contreli" and click on the record that comes up


4. Click on "Users and Groups"


5. Choose the users who should be allowed to use Contreli (Note: upon selecting the user Contreli is still not able to connect to their mailbox. This will only happen after the users connect to the app)



After doing so please email your Contreli contact the emails of the users you selected. Contreli will send them an email to complete the process, as per this guide.
